Ride Requirements

  • First and Second Passengers must be at least 9 years old and 52 inches tall.
  • Third Passengers must be at least 13 years old and 52 inches tall.
  • The maximum weight per passenger is 300 lbs.
  • The Lake Placid Bobsled Experience is not recommended for individuals with neck and back problems, heart conditions, who have had recent surgery, or who are pregnant.

An electronically signed Assumption of Risk form is required prior to your ride. Save time and fill out ahead of time here (note you will be presented the Assumption of Risk prior to checkout if purchasing online).

For Online Reservations

Plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early at the Mountain Pass Lodge to check in for the Bobsled Experience. Your start time will be within the one-hour time block you selected at the time of purchase. You’ll need your print@home ticket(s) either printed or on your mobile device for scanning at check in.

In Case of Inclement Weather

Bobsled Experience availability is weather dependent. Even with advanced reservations, please check the Activities & Events calendar to confirm there are no closures due to inclement weather. You may also call Mt. Van Hoevenberg at (518) 523-2811 on the day of your visit to confirm that there are no session cancellations in the case that there is inclement weather forecasted.

If the session you have booked is canceled due to inclement weather, our staff will make every effort to reschedule your reservation (or provide a refund if we are unable to reschedule).
