Overview

This one-stop experience will help you develop mountain biking skills and provide a unique perspective to the Adirondack forest of the trails of Mt. Van Hoevenberg. This complete learn-to mountain bike experience offers an hour-long lesson and guided tour from one of our skilled instructors.

You will be led through a progression of skills and challenges designed to build your ability and confidence. When you are ready, you will take a guided tour of our trails and put your new skills to the test while learning about this region of the Adirondacks.

The Discover Mountain Biking package includes the following:

  • Trail Pass
  • Mountain Bike Rental (includes helmet)
  • 1-Hour Lesson & Guided Tour

Participants may bring their own bikes or rent right from Mt. Van Hoevenberg. All bike rentals include helmets as part of the rental package, and guests can choose from one of the following bike sizes: 27.5+, 24+ or 20+.

Rider Requirements

All riders must complete an Assumption of Risk Agreement in advance of hitting the trails. If you plan to purchase your Discover Mountain Biking package(s) online, you will sign this form as part of the checkout path. You may also complete the Assumption of Risk Agreement in person at the Mountain Pass Lodge if purchasing in person.

Closed-toe shoes are required—no sandals or flip flops.
