Operational Updates

If you aren’t feeling well, are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19, or have been in contact with someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 21 days, please stay home and plan to visit us another time.   

New York State has issued updated travel advisories as part of its COVID-19 response plan.  Please read the NYS Guidance.


At the Lake Placid Olympic Sites, our teams are: 

  • Undergoing a daily health screen prior to every shift.
  • Following guidelines recommended by New York State and CDC.
  • Implementing increased frequency of cleaning procedures and a deep clean at night. 
  • Reducing capacity where necessary to maintain social distancing.
  • Placing hand sanitizer stations throughout our venue.

When visiting the Lake Placid Olympic Sites, please help us by: 

  • Wearing a face covering (mask) at all venues.
  • Washing your hands often or using hand sanitizer when washing isn’t available. 
  • Practicing social distancing.

Help Stop the Spread: Protect Yourself and Others

  • Wear a mask if
    • You are within 6 feet of distance from other individuals
    • You are indoors at any venue or location. 
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before you eat.
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
  • Cover your cough and sneezes with a tissue and discard it in a closed container.
  • Clean frequently touched surfaces and objects.

  • The Cliffside Coaster is now OPEN & AVAILABLE Friday – Sunday from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm. Please visit the Cliffside Coaster page for all current information and instructions.
  • Hiking at Mt. Van Hoevenberg is now AVAILABLE DAILY to the public from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. Please visit the Hiking page for all current information & instructions.
  • Hiking at Whiteface Mountain is available now. Please visit their page for all current information & restrictions.
  • The Elevator Ride to the top of the Ski Jumps is currently OPEN DAILY from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
  • The Skyride Gondola & Sky Flyer Zipline at the Olympic Jumping Complex are now OPEN & AVAILABLE Saturdays & Sundays to the public. Please view the Skyride & Sky Flyer pages for all current information and instructions.
  • The Lake Placid Olympic Museum and Olympic Center Store are now OPEN & AVAILABLE to the public. Please view the Lake Placid Olympic Museum & Olympic Center Store pages for all current information and instructions.

Although we are not currently offering many recreational activities, we look forward to sharing information about our schedule as it becomes available.
