There’s only one combined bobsled, luge and skeleton track on the East Coast, and it’s right here at the Lake Placid Olympic Sites Sports Complex.
Home to multiple World Cups in all three sports, the Olympic Sports Complex track is a premiere location for professional bobsled, luge and skeleton events, carrying on a tradition started in 1932 and built upon ever since.
But it’s not just limited to the professionals. Here at the Sports Complex, the public can partake in the fun, too! Hop in the bobsled or jump onto a skeleton and get your adrenaline pumping while zooming around the sharp turns of the track at max speeds of 60 miles per hour.
If the track itself isn’t your thing, that doesn’t mean you have to sit this one out. Slated for a Fall 2020 unveiling, the Lake Placid Mountain Coaster is a passenger-controlled experience that follows the original bobsled track in a more controlled environment, while still providing all the thrill of the track itself with high speeds and quick turns that will leave you breathless.
